Born at the Right Time’s 2-hours CPD certified Introduction to Communication and Collaboration with Parents/Carers is founded on the lived experience of families of children with complex needs. It is about listening to and working with parent/carers to deliver a service which is child-centred and supportive of both the family and school.

In this course, you will be introduced to the reality of lived experience (thinking about one family’s story), communication, co-production and specific issues for professionals working with parents of children with SEND. More advanced courses for practitioners can be found here.

  • How long do I have to complete the course?

    You are able to work through this 'On-demand' course at your own pace. There is no deadline to complete, however, in order to receive a CPD certificate you will have to complete the course within 4 weeks of the start date. If you will require an extension, please contact us. 

  • Do I need to complete the course in one session?

    No, you do not need to complete the course in one session. You can work through the course at your own pace, pause and return when you are able, your progress will be saved. In order to return to the course, please use the 'View and manage your order' link from your 'Order Confirmation' email. 

  • Can I share the course link with others?

    No, once a booking is made only the person who registered can access the course. If you know someone who would benefit from completing the course, please ask them to create their own booking or forward the request to training@bornattherighttime.com
